Screen Lock

Youcanprotectyourphonebycreatingascreenlock.Whenenabled,youneedtodrawapatternor

enteranumericPINorpasswordtounlockthephone’sscreen.

Touch > >Settings > Security> Screen lock.

2. TouchNone,Long press,Pattern,PIN,orPassword.

l IfyoutouchPattern,you’reguidedtocreateapatternyoumustdrawtounlockthescreen.

Thefirsttimeyoudothis,ashorttutorialaboutcreatinganunlockpatternappears.Then

you’repromptedtodrawandredrawyourownpattern.

l IfyoutouchPINorPassword,you’repromptedtosetanumericPINorapasswordyou

mustentertounlockyourscreen.

Important: Screenlockoptionsarelistedintheapproximateorderofthestrengthoftheirsecurity,

startingwithNoneandLong press,whichprovidenosecurity.Patternprovidesminimalsecurity,

althoughitcanbemoreconvenientthanthestrongeroptions.

Tochangethescreenlockordisableit:

Touch > >Settings > Security> Screen lock.

2. DrawthepatternorenterthePIN/passwordandtouchNext.

3. TouchNone orLong presstodisablescreenlock.

Ifyoufailtodrawthecorrectpatternonthescreenafterfiveattempts,youwillbepromptedtowait

for30secondsbeforeyoucantryagain.Ifyoustillcannotrecalltheunlockpattern,youcantouch

Forgot pattern?andenteryourGoogleAccountusernameandpasswordtoresetthescreenlock.

resetthescreenlock.
