ReceiveInformationFromAnotherDevice

YourphoneiscapableofreceivingawidevarietyoffiletypeswithBluetooth,includingphotos,music

tracks,anddocumentssuchasPDFs.

Touch > >Settings>Bluetooth.

2. IfBluetoothisnoton,slidetheswitchtotheONposition.

3. Ifyourphoneandthesendingdeviceshavenotbeenpaired,touchyourphonenametomakeit

discoverabletoallnearbyBluetoothdevices.

4. Onthesendingdevice,sendoneormorefilestoyourphone.Refertothedevice’s

documentationforinstructionsonsendinginformationoverBluetooth.

5. Ifprompted,enterthesamepasscodeonbothyourphoneandtheotherdevice,orconfirmthe

auto-generatedpasscode.ABluetoothauthorizationrequestisdisplayedonyourphone.

7. Whenyourphonereceivesafiletransferrequestnotification,slidedownthenotificationspanel,

andthentouchAccept.

8. Whenafileistransferred,anotificationisdisplayed.Toopenthefileimmediately,slidedownthe

notificationspanel,andthentouchtherelevantnotification.

Whenyouopenareceivedfile,whathappensnextdependsonthefiletype:

n Mediafilesanddocumentsareusuallyopeneddirectlyinacompatibleapplication.Forexample,

ifyouopenamusictrack,itstartsplayinginamusicapplication.

n ForavCalendarfile,touchOKtoimporttheeventtothecalendaronyourphone.

n ThevCalendarisaddedtoyourCalendarevents.(FormoreinformationonusingtheCalendar,

seeCalendar.)

n ForavCardcontactfile,iftherearemultiplevCardfilesonyourstoragecard,youcanchooseto

importone,several,orallofthosecontactstoyourcontactslist.
